About Me

IMG_0330
After 20 years in the Silicon Valley, I was ready for a change--I left my job and struck out for the great unknown.

While it hasn't always been easy, in the last few years, I've traveled, built cob houses, ran a booth at the farmers market, sharpened hair shears, went to furniture making school, volunteered in the high school woodshop, taught furniture making, remodeled a townhouse, driven across the United States (5 times), learned to fly fish, and much more…

I've met some interesting people and struck up some great friendships and in August of 2011 I accepted a position working at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship. I'm teaching a few times a year and working with the other fabulous staff at the school to keep things running smoothly the rest of the year.

I'm enjoying the adventure and have loved meeting so many wonderful people who have taught me so much about the importance of living your life today (it's really the only day you ever get).
